What I want is what I have to give... and what I give is what I want. In my interactions with others, in dance and in Deep Contact Bodywork, one mode I take on is Receptivity. Here's how I be in the receptive mode: just being available to receive their offerings... not needing to correct their energy or offerings, finding a way to take them in that also honors my need to feel safe and seen "with what you are offering, I can safely, authentically and self-honoringly meet you with this response..." I keep leaning in, and waiting, and 'following'; not directing, but sometimes re-directing, or translating their impulse, move or touch so that it supports me. So I am wanting...to be received and 'held', accepted, appreciated; and that is what I give to them; I receive them, accept them, appreciate them. And when I do this, they feel accepted, appreciated, received. And they give me even more love.
Life is change, energy flows, and attention creates. By the movement of our attention and the choice of our focus, we freshly create our experience in each moment. I've found that when we actively attend and explore through our senses, we bring greater awareness to all aspects of our being and consequently into all areas of our lives. By sharing my personal explorations, observations and experiences I hope to inspire a more vibrant Aliveness in others.
